roie is a slow-fashion studio based in Brisbane / Magandjin. It was created because of a belief that the kind of craftsmanship, the deep knowledge of fabric, the patience with fit, the care in every seam, that once went into making clothes is worth keeping alive. The studio works across alterations and fitting, one-of-one customs, and creative projects. But the thread running through all of it is the same - clothes that are made/mended with real intention fit differently, last longer, and feel like they were always meant for you.
roie was started by me, Chloe, because I kept seeing the same thing everywhere - fashion made cheap, made fast, and made for a body that most people don't actually have. I wanted to build something that went against this industry standard. A studio where the old values of dressmaking still mean something.
At roie, your fitting isn't rushed, your fabric is chosen with care, and the goal is always that moment when you put something on and it finally, genuinely fits and you might see yourself a little differently because of it.
